In which I share my favorite posts from this blog's Facebook page.

* Remember the story not long ago about how some stores in France are selling "inglorious" (imperfect) fruits and veggies at discounted prices? Now it's happening in some places in the U.S.!

* Now THIS looks like a kitchen gadget worth having. Joybilee Farm says it saved her 2 hrs. prep time getting strawberries into the freezer!

* I've never gotten my act together enough to batch cook a large amount of meals...but here are some good tips to get me (you?) going.

* Did you know you can EASILY make dairy free, gluten free banana "ice cream?" And with no ice cream maker!

* Want some idea for Father's Day, including cards and pictures your kids can make? Check out my Father's Day Pinterest board.

* Should we really force our children to share?

* If you don't already have rules like this at your house, summer is an excellent time to instill them. Personally, I only allow screen time at night or when it's too hot to comfortably play outside.

* QUICK TIP: When making "bone broth" or stock (learn how here), don't throw away the leftover veggies and meat. Instead, compost the veggies. Or feed the whole thing to your chickens. (Yes, even if there is chicken meat in there. In the wild, chickens are cannibals. It's the circle of life!)

* QUICK TIP: When steaming or boiling veggies, save the water. Let it cool, then water plants with it for a natural fertilizer.
