It's been very windy. Our large, main living windows often flex in the wind. A little scary! So sometimes I put tape across them...just in case.

  1. Congrats on the good blood sugar levels! Those are excellent! The weight loss is a great bonus, too, huh?! :) Do you feel hungry on the keto? I liked how I felt while doing low carb, but I felt like I was ALWAYS cooking. There was never just an easy food to grab. I know that cooking things myself is much better, but when you are homeschooling 4 kids and keeping up with a home and being a pastor's wife, life sometimes doesn't allow for cooking and washing so many dishes. :-/ I'd be interested in blog posts that talk about things you eat and how you deal with having food on hand, etc. I did see what you posted the other day that had some of this info, by the way. Again, congrats!

  2. Staci, what I love most about keto is I rarely feel hungry! I've done low carb diets before, and they work pretty well, but I was hungry a lot. (And when my blood sugar was high, I didn't loose weight.) With keto, the addition of fat makes a huge difference. In fact, I rarely eat lunch, because I'm usually not hungry. There are lots of easy, quick snacks though: I mostly do a handful of walnuts, a piece of cheese, or maybe a hard boiled egg. I also make cheese "crackers" by cutting cheese super thin, putting on parchment paper, and melting in the oven. They are crisp and taste a lot like a cheese cracker. I will consider posting on this topic!
